Just found a shoe shop like no other. It’s quite something else. with a brief to create an attention grabbing concept that would have a huge mass appeal but alas quite humbly done on the cheap side. Done! Created by designers Pinkeye for the company Shoe Supply based in Antwerp, Belgium, decided in order to create a retail type space they would up-cycle an entire classroom for it to be showcased in. By salvaging items from any local boarded up, disused school and utilising desks, maps, lockers, chemistry flasks and lamps to create an innovative retro-inspired trainer shop. Turned into the talk of the town by far, located in a discreet portion of this Belgium city’s retail district, they were lucky to find a school that was closing down and no longer need its contents. They then up-cycled all of its contents to create this hip, funky spot that is maybe even cooler than the shoes on sale.
